    • Here comes the statement from the happy bootcamper :) I have been joining the team for abt 4,5 months now and must admit that I’m pleased with the results. My goal was/is to loose weight.
I lost quite a lot the first 5 weeks (5 kg in 5 weeks). Thereafter I lost another 2 kg (total 7 kg in 2,5 month). The 3rd month was however quite tough, my weight became stable (and I mean stable as in STUCK!).
    • I got frustrated and upset and felt like I was doing a lot of exercise (5-6 times a week) without getting any results. What a waste (I thought).
    • I was dumb - I was only thinking abt the weight scale and not measuring me I should (I was actually loosing a dress size during this period, but I still didn’t think I was getting any improvement) – and then comes the statement that we all have heard sooooo many times before ‘muscles weigh more than fat’! But I was ‘blind’ and carried away. I was so tired therefore so close to take the easy way out and give up!
    • But being a part of a team is an encouragement and will make you give it that little bit extra than if you were exercising on your own. Fitness bootcamp is fun, however it is so much more than that. You get some friends that have common interests as yourself. They (the gurus as well as the participants) are all super supportive and make the goal/s so much more believable. They give that little push that we need, when we need it...And yes, they actually made stubborn me, that has quitted too many times before, FINALY get over the hurdle and believe in it.
    • Here I am 8,5 kg lighter than I was abt 4,5 months ago (and YES, the weight has started moving again :o))) I feel better than I ever did in my grown up life and I will definitely not quit now that I have come this far.

    • I do exercise pretty regularly but I must say I find that bootcamp stands out for a number of reasons : firstly, the exercises vary from week to week so there is great variety in the workouts (static exercises, circuits, even games like captain's ball and soccer), which makes things interesting.
    • There’s no doubt it’s a solid workout, with my heart rate monitor consistently measuring a very high number of calories burnt after class. Secondly, I like that the workouts target the different muscle groups which I wouldn’t normally work  - I’ve seen significant improvement in my strength (for eg. I did the first full push up – i.e knees off the ground – I’ve ever done in my life while in a bootcamp class! And I’m getting a lot stronger in my yoga classes too). I don’t really need to lose weight, but I find I’m developing some nice muscle tone.
    • Most importantly though, there’s a good energy in the class – the people are really incredibly nice and the instructors are not intimidating at all. I like that I can push myself hard in a class, or if I’m feeling tired on a given day I can just go slow, without fear of being laughed at, scolded or feeling like I am  holding anyone back!
    • I used to be quite a bit heavier than I am now (20kg!) and I've found that it’s possible (albeit painful!) to lose weight if you just for example; do a lot of cardio and eat less for a sustained period of time. But I find with bootcamp, there is an emphasis on having fun, building strength and developing general fitness too, which are really important elements in developing a healthy overall mindset towards exercise and life.

    • Trainers are friendly - they'll come to your assistance when you need them, they're also very motivating.
    • The variety of exercises are a lot - the trainers also will tell you which muscles to work on for every exercise.
    • Working out in a group is much better and fun - and definitely motivating!

    • I attended Faz's Wednesday night session at East Coast park. I have to say that this is what Singapore has been missing. Great camaradarie, fun exercises but outdoors next to the sea and under beautiful palm trees. In fact the exercises were similar to those when I had a personal trainer but so much more fun as others were there to share my pain ;-) I felt completely high leaving and will definitely be back. Bootcamp really does excerise all muscles. I do a lot of exercise anyway but boy could I feel the muscles that hadn't been involed in that exercise after bootcamp!

    • June 2009 - It has been a lasting 3 to 4 months now that I am with Fitness Bootcamp. I have to say, my weighing scale did not have much movement at all, but is mainly fats are being replace by muscles. It has also been years that I have feel and look so good. But the most amazing thing that happen - since the exercise started, the vices of smoking and alcohol consumption has drastically reduce. The amazing thing of sticking to the regime of working out every Saturday morning does miracle work to me and my body.
    • March 2009 - Hi Sham, Fuz and the Fitness boot camp team,
A great big Thank you! Just the past week, is amazing how many of my friends and clients said they saw great changes in my physic (and I thought they are just joking, or making fun of me) not until I put on all my business suits again. Clients and Colleagues have also commented that work stress do not seems to have any effect on me - every weekend, I look all refresh again. It's amazing!!! Thank you, and I hope I can still make it thru to the half marathon end of this year.

    • It has been almost 2 months that I have joined the Fitness Bootcamp since 13th Dec 08. You and your team really help and motivate me since I have stop doing my work out for the past 3 years or more. Thanks to you and your team I'm back on my track again with low intake carbohydrates and work out at least 4 times a week and I have lost 3 kg for now. Without your team I definately can't do it myself. Cheers and kudos to you and your team. See you on Saturday for the next work out.
